WEEK 2 • 2026 SEASON

The Locks Room

Every published lean for the week, organized by conviction tier and broken down with the full reasoning — market number, matchup edge, and what would confirm or kill the read.

GOLD LOCKTIER
Pending verified consensus

Gold requires multiple independently published expert selections pointing to the same side or total at a verifiable market number. For Week 2, no side has cleared that bar publicly — the room is not going to fabricate a top-tier lock. As soon as two or more tracked handicappers confirm a documented selection at a comparable number, the pick is promoted here with the full reasoning trail.

SILVER LOCKTIER
Pending secondary consensus

Silver is a smaller but credible agreement — one strong published lean plus independent confirmation of the matchup read. It carries real conviction but not the multi-source consensus of Gold. Watch for line movement: a sharp push of 1.5+ points toward the lean side is the tell that real money agrees with the published read.

HAIL MARYTIER
Pending contrarian signal

Hail Mary is reserved for a documented contrarian or sharp position — a play where public money is on one side and respected money is on the other. This is the highest-variance tier: it loses more often than Gold or Silver, but the hits are where the magazine's edge over the public lives. Never a guess; always a sourced position.
